GlaxoSmithKline use mobile messaging to engage patients
GSK are using SMS messaging to remind patients to arrange vaccination appointments.
Patients are encouraged to opt-in to receive the outbound text reminders which are sent within a scheduled timeframe during the course of the patient’s treatment. Message content is tailored to each patient’s requirements and prescription. A final text message asks patients to confirm that they have finished their course of treatment and to contact their doctor if they have missed any appointments.
Mobile messaging for appointment reminders is particularly popular across the NHS and private dental clients. The service has helped drastically reduce missed appointments, helping improve efficiency, whilst saving time and money.
Txtlocal provide a professional and reliable messaging platform to a number of NHS and private medical practices throughout the UK. The Txtlocal service enables the sending of personalised messages to groups of patients quickly, easily and at low cost.
