Location Based Service
Our location based service provides companies with a simple way of finding the location of their customers when they text in. It's perfect for 'Where’s my nearest ...?' type services where customers can quickly locate and then contact their nearest hotel, pizzeria or taxi.
The service works in conjunction with our Short Code service where the customer texts in your Keyword to 60777 (e.g. TAXI to 60777). This is required to provide customer 'Opt-In' to obtain the location of their phone.
A request is then automatically submitted to the relevant network to obtain the X and Y Coordinates along with an Accuracy Radius (smaller in urban populated areas). A specific reply can then be automatically sent back containing the relevant information.
The reply could contain any of the following:
- Address & postcode of store
- Phone number for contacting store
- Opening times
- A map of the store location
The customer information could also be emailed to the specific store or relevant contact so that they can immediately call the customer back.

- All incoming texts are stored in your Inbox. In addition to mobile number, message and time and date of receipt you will also receive X & Y coordinates and an Accuracy Radius. These coordinates can also be converted to a Postcode if you require.
- Bespoke Auto-reply
- If you provide us with your Store Database we can develop the programme completely for you. Alternatively, if you have a developer you can programme this all yourself using our SMS API Gateway.
- Email Notifications
- All incoming texts can be immediately forwarded to your email address/s.
