To send a text through your email application, please use the following guidelines:
FEATURE |
DESCRIPTION |

Emails must be sent from your registered Txtlocal email address. If you need to send from other email addresses simply add "email aliases" in your Account Settings. |
To & Cc Fields |
In order to send a text, the recipient’s email address needs to be inserted using the following format: MobileNumber@txtlocal.co.uk For instance: Multiple recipients can be added in both the TO and CC fields of your email application. |
Subject Field |
All texts will arrive addressed with your Default Sender Name in your Account Settings. For instance, sender=MyCompany or sender=448450093180 |
Message |
You can type a message up to 612 characters. At the end of the message add: Anything after the ## will not be sent. Please remember to use ## to ensure you don’t send your signature, any company email disclaimers or virus wording. You are billed for the following message lengths: 0 - 160 = 1 credit |
Bulk Recipients Method 1 |
In addition to placing bulk recipients in the TO and CC lines of the email, you can also place them after the ## terminator. For example: Don't forget the meeting at 12:30pm.## As with any message, the text after the ## will not be sent to the handset, but a copy of the text will be sent to all the listed numbers. |
Bulk Recipients Method 2 |
You can even forward an email to a pre created Txtlocal.com group! |
Finally, in order to ensure that the message is sent, please ensure that the email address you are sending from is the same as the one you use to log into your Online SMS account.
If you wish to send from an alternate email address (or add addresses for your whole company), simply add them in your online Account Settings page
